The Consumers' Research Council, headquartered in Washington, DC is an independent research company that evaluates professional services throughout America. Dean Dornic practices ophthalmology in Cary and Smithfield and specializes in cataract and LASIK surgery. He is the author of several professional articles and a medical textbook with worldwide distribution. In addition he has lectured at international meetings and has trained other ophthalmologists in refractive surgery. In addition to the "Top Ophthalmologist" honor, Dr. Dornic has been selected as one of America's 100 top LASIK surgeons by Laser Vision Centers. Dr. Dornic established the Laser Eye Center of Carolina in 2001 and is the first Raleigh area ophthalmologist to perform IntraLase: an all laser LASIK procedure.
